Do You Like to Photograph Birds?
If you like to photograph birds, whether you are a beginner or an advanced photographer, here is a contest you will enjoy! The Palomar Audubon Society is sponsoring an amateur bird photography contest. The contest is open to all members of the society, and there are no age restrictions. Not a member? Become a PAS member today for a $20. tax deductible membership fee.
To qualify as an amateur, the photographer must never have sold the image being entered in the contest for public or private use. The photos submitted must have been taken in San Diego County after January 1, 2006. Each entrant may submit up to three 5x7 inch color prints.
The 2008 grand prize will be a cash award in the amount of $200. The second place award will be $100.; third place will be $50, and an additional three honorable mention awards will be presented in the amount of $25. each. The awards will be presented at the PAS annual picnic in June, and the winning photos will be auctioned off at the picnic. The photo that wins the grand prize will be featured on the PAS website for one year, beginning July 1, 2008.
