We need your help to keep Palomar Audubon a vital group. If you can spare as little as an hour a month, you can contribute significantly to the success of our chapter's goals of education, conservation, and community outreach.
No experience necessary! For any of these positions, we will provide training, guidance, and assistance as needed.

| Programs Chairperson | Palomar Audubon needs a volunteer to coordinate speakers for our monthly programs. These speakers can be members of Palomar or from the local community. Topics include birds, bird watching trips, bird photography, or conservation. Duties include finding speakers, scheduling them, writing a short article for Band Tales of upcoming programs, introducing the speaker at the program, and bringing Palomar’s laptop and projector to the programs as needed. |
| Docents for Elfin Forest Nature Center | As part of our partnership with The Escondido Creek Conservancy, we are encouraging our members to volunteer for their docent program. For further information and to apply please click here. |
| Education Outreach Advisory Committee | Penny Hernandez will lead this committee and is seeking four additional members to help her. The goal of this committee is to evaluate educational direction for Palomar Audubon. The recommendations will be presented to the Board of Directors for their final decision on suggestions to implement. |
| Publicity Advisory Committee | The goal of the committee is to evaluate different ways that Palomar Audubon can improve getting our message to the public. The committee would evaluate such areas as newspaper notices, community events, social media, website partnerships, and other software options. We are looking for three to six volunteers for this committee that would present their recommendations to the Board of Directors for their final decision on suggestions to implement. |
| Band Tales Folding | Every other month with the printing of Band Tales, we need volunteers to collate and fold the newsletter. We print about 750 newsletters. Currently we are paying extra to the printers to perform this task. |
