Volunteer Opportunities

We need your help to keep Palomar Audubon a vital group.  If you can spare as little as an hour a month, you can contribute significantly to the success of our chapter's goals of education, conservation, and community outreach.

No experience necessary!

Here is a list of the volunteer positions available at PAS. If you are interested in any of them, contact:
Jeff Ebright at email jvebright@att.net
or call 858-484-3932

Education Presenter

Palomar Audubon currently provides educational presentations for primary schools in our area.  The programs are currently set up on portable computers.  We also have some bird displays we take to the classrooms.   Ann Wier will provide training.  The first few times, an experienced presenter will be with you to provide help if needed.  Palomar Audubon is currently in discussion with Escondido Children’s Museum to present the same program for them.   If you would like to share your enthusiasm for birding with children, please consider volunteering to assist Ann.   This program is Palomar Audubon’s best outreach to community to introduce an appreciation of nature, birds, and their conservation.

Conservation

We are looking for volunteers to represent Palomar Audubon with the various local conservation groups.  Conservation is one area in which Palomar Audubon would like to expand it’s support, but we need volunteers to enable us to meet this goal.

Newsletter Help

Bi-Monthly, volunteers meet at Gill Moreland’s house in Rancho Bernardo to fold and affix mailing labels to the newsletters for mailing.  Always in need for some extra hands.
